Jill Johnson

Jill Johnson joined the staff at Explorations Charter School as a math teacher, and after 8 years in that position she became the schools Executive Director & Principal in 2014.  As both a teacher and administrator in this small school, Jill found that her non-traditional path to the field of Education helped her most as she gave college & career support and guidance to many graduating students.  Whether she was talking to students as they prepared to enter the workforce, join the military, attend trade school or a certificate program, or enroll in a 2-year or 4-year college she kept one thing at the center of every conversation … no two students are the same, and they each walk and deserve to walk their own path..  She is passionate about working with students and their families to help them find their own individual path to success. Jill has earned bachelor degrees in Psychology and Mathematics from Southern CT State University and a Master’s in Math Education and Sixth Year in Educational Leadership from University of Bridgeport.
