Dr. Patti Ashley LPC


Psychotherapist, best selling author, and international speaker Patti Ashley, Ph.D., LPC brings unique insight to the identification and treatment of trauma, shame, grief, and dysfunctional family patterns. Her signature Authenticity Architecture model creates long-term changes in the brain and the central nervous system, breaking through ingrained barriers to personal freedom and authentic growth, and excavating the truth of self-love, belonging, and connection.

With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Ashley has counseled a myriad of individuals, couples, families, and groups in mental health agencies, psychiatric hospitals, and private practice settings. She is also responsible for having developed and taught continuing education courses for physicians, hospital wellness programs, universities, and several private organizations.

Patti holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the Union Institute and University. She is the author of Living in the Shadow of the Too-Good Mother Archetype (2014), Letters to Freedom (2019) and her newly released book Shame-Informed Therapy: The Art and Architecture of Reconstructing the Authentic Self.
