The Diane McClay Show: Empowering Life Through Choice: Integrating Failure- Finding Wisdom -Shifting your perspectiveDeadlines and plans are important and imperative to help us move towards our goals. But what happens when 'the process' doesn't go according to plan?

Do you feel like a failure when you don't finish on time?

Are you reacting to what others are saying, what you think they are saying, or what you are saying to yourself?

Society often tells us we should avoid failure.   But Thomas A. Edison reminds us with his search for the perfect lightbulb filament that failure is part of the process with his quote:  “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

Aiming for perfection is impractable and illogical at best. At it's worst, it's turbulent and an exercise in futility.

We learn from failure.  It is unlikely the exact same mistake will get made twice by the exact same person.  Failure is integral to our success. Everything is happens in it's own divine or 'right' time, for it's own divine or 'right' purpose.

1.  Perfection is a myth.
2.  Imperfection provides the path.
3. Explore the imperfect.
4. Weave 'the art of deliberate imperfection into your story/your journey just as Navajo Rug Weavers do.
5.  Our beginning and end is wrapped in nature.  Natures imperfections are It’s beauty.
