Dr. Michelle Loyd-Paige


Dr. Michelle Loyd-Paige has been serving as the Executive Associate to the President for Diversity and Inclusion (EAPDI) at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 2013. Loyd-Paige began her academic career at Calvin in 1985 as faculty in the Department of Sociology and Social Work having completed her graduate work at Purdue University. While at Calvin, she has served in several leadership capacities and served on numerous community boards. In 2015, Loyd-Paige was the recipient of the Floyd Skinner Justice Award. Michelle serves as the chair of the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities Commission for Diversity and Inclusion. She launched her diversity-focused consulting business, Loyd Paige & Associates, in 2018. Her passion is helping individuals and organizations better understand and practice diversity and become more culturally competent. Michelle is a certified Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) administrator. Additionally, she is the founder of Preach Sista! a non-profit supporting women in ministry. She is vegan and enjoys watching sci-fi movies from the 50’s.
